For over ten years I’ve been listening to podcasts like twit.tv, revision3 (back in the day), and more recently Reply All. In a particular episode of Reply All (#36 “Today’s the Day”) the hosts decide to scrap their regular programming and take the microphones into downtown New York. The best part of the episode for me was the background sounds at Coney Island and an abandoned building they “visited” and I got the idea that maybe I could do something interesting. I turned immediately to the internet and searched for good, reasonably priced audio recorders.
The result . . . Echo Boxing . . . my new podcast about real sounds in the real world. Basically I’m recording background sounds from life and sharing them with everyone. I’m just getting started but I invite you to have a listen at www.echoboxing.com and let me know what you think. You can also find the podcast on iTunes and Google Play Music.
